I should have been cleaning and quilting this last weekend but instead I had to get digging in the garden and doing the annual pot planting. It started with stopping at Hawthorn Gardens, in Hawthorn Woods, IL.
But alas, I HAD to go to another favorite, Pesche’s Greenhouse in Lake Geneva, WI, to finish my selection for the weekend.
It is always wonderful fun to look at all the selections and dream of purchasing everything in every garden center. Then only one cart is filled and you leave with what you can plant in one weekend. What a wonderful weekend. Of course I will need to go back and go to my other favorite garden centers another weekend. These are the pots I filled this weekend.
Two of these by the front door.
This pot will feature the calla lily with all kinds of trailers around the base.
And then my favorite, the Dorotheanthus, Mezzo Trailing Red, in the iron chair.
I have to say that I did do some quilting also. I had the table height raised and it is now perfect! Happy quilting!
